A badly planned prank

Okay, I was in Michigan with my friend last summer and we were at a campground.

My friend's mom needed ice for the cooler and she sent us to the campground store to get some. While we were there, we decided that I would get the ice and she would go inside and pay for it. When she was inside, I thought it would be funny to scare her by popping out at her when she came back. So there I was, behind the ice machine waiting for her to come back. I heard footsteps and I'm thinking, this is going to be good. As the foot steps came close, I popped out and screamed, "ROARHH!!!" At that second I realized that it wasn't my friend, but an old man, all scared and confused.

I apologized profusely and ran away hiding my beat red face.....Note to self, make sure that you plan out a prank a little better before you do it....
